My first round of FNO and I have to say it was a smash success! I was fortunate enough to attend the Saks Fifth Avenue event featuring designer Brian Atwood and the launch of the new Chicago Saks 10022-SHOE department, the 900 Shops event featuring celebrity stylist Brad Goreski #Love, and the Water Tower Place event with Teresa Giudice (Real Housewives of New Jersey #TableFlipper). Chicago’s FNO was nothing short of a whirlwind experience, running through the rain between department stores is so not glamourous though. I was also able to attend the opening day of Chicago’s new TopShop and TopMan stores on Michigan Ave, which by the way, is amaze-balls. And by the end of the evening, I actually ran into the CEO of TopShop Philip Green in the elevator of The Peninsula Hotel. Needless to say, between Brian complimenting my hair, Brad loving my outfit, and Philip stopping me to mention that I should shop in his store, it was quite a fabulous night! My look was color-block inspired: wearing a vintage velvet bow-tie, green trousers and gray wool blazer from Asos.com, and combat boots from Aldo. It seemed appropriate after a year of non-stop color blocking in the media.

Me, Brad Goreski and Lo. I don’t think this photo could say it any clearer, but he’s my biggest fashion inspiration. #IDie
